New weekly TA reports
We have deployed an update to the Temporary Accommodation dashboard within HPA2 that gives councils the ability to see information that is required by the MHCLG.
This update covers these two items:
- How many total households in your local authority are single person households in Temporary Accommodation under Housing Act 1996 duties?
- How many total households in your local authority are families in Temporary Accommodation under Housing Act 1996 duties?

We have done this because Local Authorities are required to provide these items each week on the Delta system.
However, there are several more reporting requirements that are also required by MHCLG and Delta system. We will be adding them over the coming weeks. These will include:
People in Emergency Accommodation
The number of people in your Local Authority who are currently in emergency accommodation in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. (This includes people who were sleeping rough or were in shared sleeping sites).
History prior to Emergency Accommodation
Prior to being accommodated, how many of these people currently in emergency accommodation:
- Were sleeping rough?
- Were in shared sleeping sites?
- Had been discharged from prison or hospital since 1st March
- Were at imminent risk of sleeping rough?
Type of Accommodation
Of those currently accommodated as a result of the emergency Covid-19 response:
- How many people are in commercial hotels?
- How many people are in other forms of emergency or temporary accommodation?
Characteristics of people in accommodation
Of those currently accommodated as a result of the emergency Covid-19 response:
- How many people are under the age of 25?
- How many people are not eligible for homelessness services because they are an EEA National who is not exercising their treaty rights?
- How many people are not eligible for homelessness services because they are a third country national who does not have recourse to public funds?
- How many people have had an assessment of their support needs?

Of those who have had their needs assessed, how many people have a substance misuse support need related to:
• Alcohol only?
• Drugs only?
• Drug and Alcohol? - How many people have left to go to hospital because of Covid-19?
Move on
How many people have you moved into settled accommodation since the Covid-19 response began? (This includes people who were moved straight into settled accommodation and those who were accommodated as a result of the emergency Covid-19 response who have since been moved into settled accommodation).
How many people have you moved into rough sleeping pathways that sit outside of temporary accommodation?
People sleeping rough
What is the current number of people sleeping rough in your local authority?
Of the current number of people sleeping rough in your local authority, how many people:
- Have been made an accommodation offer and refused it?
- Have been evicted from or abandoned the accommodation that was arranged in response to the Covid-19 pandemic?
- Are new to the streets and/or have not had an offer of accommodation?
