This statement is made by Locata (Housing Services) Limited (“Locata ”) with regard to its obligations under s54 (1) Modern Slavery Act 2015 for the 2023 financial year and will be updated and published on its website annually.

Locata takes a zero-tolerance approach towards modern slavery and human trafficking. This statement sets out steps taken by Locata to ensure and confirm that there is no evidence of modern slavery or human trafficking taking place within its business or supply chains.

About Locata Housing Services Limited
Locata is a UK Housing Options System supplier providing IT solutions to local authorities (“LA”) and registered housing providers (“RP”). Locata is a wholly owned by LA’s and RP’s and takes compliance with laws and regulation very seriously.

Locata’s Supply Chain
Locata recognises that whilst software provision of housing service is not considered as a sensitive area for modern slavery practices, such as forced labour or exploitation, Locata has a responsibility to ensure no modern slavery or human trafficking is taking place in its business or supply chains.

Locata ensures that its employees who are responsible for procuring goods and services understand the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and continuously monitors its business and supply chain to make certain there is no suspected modern slavery or human trafficking taking place either within the business or in connection with the suppliers it uses.

Locata procurement policies reflect Locata’s zero-tolerance to modern slavery and human trafficking and make clear that this is also the attitude we expect our suppliers to adopt.

Employees are encouraged to report any concerns, including suspected modern slavery and human trafficking, directly to Locata’s Management teams or the Locata Board.
