New streamlined process for Document Upload

Hertsmere have gone live with a new streamlined document upload process on its Locata CBL system as they felt that that some customers find the current two-step process of uploading and then submitting documents confusing.

Cambridgeshire Home-Link scheme is currently testing the new process and is expected to adopt the enhancement soon.

The new process begins with a pre-warning page to ask applicants to ensure they have all required documents to hand, ready to submit to the council.

Pre-warning message

The key change is that there is no longer an “upload” button. The page where applicants add their evidences has its own page, replacing the previous two-step process (uploading then submitting).

Applicants simply click to “Add document” and then “Submit documents”.

Upload steps
When an applicant clicks “Submit documents” the following pop-up message will appear to ask them if they have finished.
Confirmation prompt

Clear instructions are provided, outlining that by pressing “Yes” they will submit their documents to the council and close the page.

If they press “No” they will return to the previous screen where they can click the button “Add documents” to upload more, if necessary.

Once the applicant clicks “Yes”, they will receive an email confirming the documents that have been uploaded.

Confirmation Receipt

The reminder to “remember to submit” has been removed from this email receipt.
