Royal Borough upgrades its customer services
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is working with LHS to improve its on-line services to customers.
The council went live with the LHS Homeless Prevention and Advice Manager earlier this year and is currently finalising an upgrade to its allocations system.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead transferred all its housing stock to two Council sponsored Housing Associations in 1995 and does not have a direct role in the management of these properties. Access to these Housing Association tenancies is through the Local Housing Register which is maintained by the Housing Options Team.
The council uses a bands and points system to calculate housing need. Those applicants in greatest housing need will be assisted through various housing options, including accommodation in the private sector and home ownership.
The new LHS systems will assist the Royal Borough in delivering a more automated approach to the current system. As a new partner the council will also have the ability to take advantage of providing the Exchange Locata mutual exchange system to their customers for only £500 per annum.
