Sending out emails to somebody other than the client

Two new enhancements to HPA2 will go live in the next 48 hours.

The first will allow templates to be set up that will not automatically include the email address of the client.

The new options within the template creation are “Blank” and “Custom”.

The enhancement ensures that the email account will not be sent accidentally to the customer when the officer meant it to be sent to a third party.

If “Custom” is selected then the “To address” becomes mandatory.

If the “Blank” option has been selected the officer can manually enter the email address to make sure that the template does not default to the client’s email address.

This development was paid for by several councils who wanted the enhancement for their officers. The councils are:

  • Mendip
  • North Devon
  • Kent
  • Brentwood
  • Broxbourne
  • Chelmsford
  • Epping Forest
  • Uttlesford

The second enhancement automatically puts the date a PHP was published in the HPA2 system.

HPA2 used to require the officer to manually record the action. Now the officer can be certain the date the PHP was published will be properly recorded.

If you like it, share it.
